With the 2020 Tokyo Olympics approaching, Japan Airlines (JAL) is giving away 100,000 free round trip tickets to foreign tourists in a bid to promote the country's tourism industry. With this free ticket, tourists are expected to visit not only Tokyo to watch the Olympic games, but to other cities in Japan.
Some of the routes offered by JAL include: Tokyo's Haneda airport, Osaka's Kansai International airport, and Hokkaido's New Chitose airport.
Registration for free tickets will start in February for the frequent flyers or JAL Mileage Bank (JMB) members. Tickets can be used between July and the end of September, including the Olympics from 24 July to 9 August 2020.
