Prime Minister Fumio Kishida stated, "We will remove the limit on the number of people entering the country, and will continue to accept individual travel and visa-free travel," Kishida was quoted as saying by the Nikkei on September 22, 2022.

The following are the terms & conditions for going to Japan visa-free that you need to know:
Must be vaccinated 3 times with the following conditions:
2x AstraZeneca, Pfizer, or Moderna Vaccines
1x Booster Pfizer or Moderna
Travelers who perform booster vaccines using AstraZeneca must perform PCR within 72 hours before departure to Japan.
Have an active e-passport
Fill out the form and register your e-passport. You can fill out this form provided by the Japanese Embassy.
Receive proof of registration. This proof is used as a statement if you can have a visit of 15 days, and this proof is valid for 3 years or until the passport's expiration date.
