In Sanskrit, Aman means "peace" and Janu means "soul".
Aman, a super luxury hotel group, is launching a new hotel brand called Janu. In Sanskrit, Aman means "peace" and Janu means "soul." According to Aman's CEO, Vladislav Doronin, like the yin and yang philosophy, Janu is expected to be a complement (yang) to Aman (yin).
Janu is planned to launch with three hotels in 2022 and is currently under construction in Montenegro, Al Ula (Saudi Arabia), and Tokyo.
The concept of the Janu brand hotel will be different from Aman by highlighting a contemporary design plus social and community aspects, one of which is a social space that will combine a dining area, lounge and bar. Janu will have more rooms and a premium price, but below the Aman hotel rate.
Aman was founded in 1988 by hotelier Adrian Zecha, with the vision of a hotel that has outstanding design in areas away from the crowds and prioritizes privacy and the best service for guests. The Aman hotel group currently has 32 hotels in 20 countries, plus 9 hotels under construction.
