During this visit to Uncle Sam's country, Vice President Jusuf Kalla representing President Joko Widodo led the Indonesian delegation at the 74th UN General Assembly entitled "Galvanizing Multilateral Effort for Poverty Eradication, Quality Education, Climate Action and Inclusion".
The 74th UN General Assembly is scheduled to be attended by around 193 UN member states, 100 heads of state, three vice presidents, 47 prime ministers and 36 ministers as well as 2 Chairman of Delegations.
While in New York, Vice President Jusuf Kalla stayed at Westin New York Grand Central Hotel. The arrival of Vice President JK and Mrs. Mufidah Jusuf Kalla at the Westin Hotel New York Grand Central was welcomed by a delegation of officials including: Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno LP Marsudi, Minister of Communication and Information Rudiantara and Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Ignatius Jonan and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United States Mahendra Siregar.
This hotel was chosen primarily for its excellent location in downtown New York, just a 3-minute walk to the Chrysler Building and a 7-minute walk to Grand Central Terminal and United Nations Headquarters.
