Purwokerto is known for various types of delicious and unique culinary delights. When visiting this city, you must visit the "Go" Bakery, which is located in Kauman Lama and is the oldest in Indonesia.

"Go" Bakery has been operating since 1898 and still exists today. Hereditary recipes are maintained by all bakery's successors, so the taste never changes even though it has been established for more than 124 years. You can find various variants of old bread still being sold in this place and some characters such as torn bread and sweet bread.

"Go" Bakery was initially founded by Oei Pak Ke Nio and her husband, Go Kwe Ka, who tried to make and open a bakery. The name Roti Go is taken from the surname of the owner. This bakery is now managed by the next generation, Pararto, and Rosani Wiogo.

What makes the menu at this bakery special? They use natural ingredients, no preservatives or artificial sweeteners. The process of making bread here still uses the old stove, which makes the taste of this bread never change even though it has been 100 years.

Toko Roti Go has dozens of bread variants you can buy directly at the store or order online. The price for each bread variant ranges from IDR 6,000-IDR 17,000. This shop is open every day from 08.00-19.00; for those who don't have time to come in person, all the menus in this bakery can be ordered through the online delivery application!
