Nestled at the base of a steep cliff, Segara Kidul Temple is a sacred site known as "Palinggih Nyi Roro Kidul" and is characterized by its green hue. Local legend holds that the temple holds magical powers that govern the southern sea region, and that the tirta (spring) found within its walls has the ability to cleanse past karma and improve one's future prospects. To reach the temple, visitors must descend a series of 700 steps or 450 meters of iron stairs, ensuring easy access for all.

To enter the temple, visitors must pay a fee of 15,000 Indonesian rupiah to rent a sarong and should wear comfortable footwear for the descent. The temple is open every day for 24 hours, with the best time to visit being from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Western Indonesian Time.
