Jenderal Ahmad Yani International Airport (SRG) is the newest airport in the city of Semarang, Indonesia. The airport is located in the northern part of the city, near Bawen city. It replaces the former airport, which is located in the southern part of the city.

Capacity and facilities
The new airport has handling capacity of 2 million passengers per year and is equipped with modern facilities and technology. It has a 3,200-meter runway that can accommodate wide-body aircraft such as the Boeing 747 and Airbus A380. The airport also has a new terminal building with 12 gates, VIP rooms and duty-free areas.
Airport construction
Construction of the General Ahmad Yani International Airport began in 2011 and was completed in 2016. The total project cost was IDR 4 trillion (US$300 million). The new airport is named after General Ahmad Yani, who was the Indonesian Minister of Defense during the Indonesian National Revolution.
