Libraries are important cornerstones of a community. Libraries give people the opportunity to find, explore, research, and experience writings, stories, and ideas through books or publications. It allows us to get lost in wonderful scriptures, while at the same time providing a sense of place for gathering. Throughout these years, we have explored many beautiful libraries, and here are some of the must visit libraries in the world.
Starfield Library, Seoul
Located in the center of COEX Mall, Starfield Library is a futuristic library & cultural event space with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves.
The George Peabody Library, formerly known as the Library of the Peabody Institute of the City of Baltimore, is the 19th-century focused research library of The Johns Hopkins University. It is located on the Peabody campus at West Mount Vernon Place in the Mount Vernon-Belvedere historic cultural neighborhood north of downtown Baltimore, Maryland, across from the landmark Washington Monument. George Peabody's goal to create a library "for the free use of all persons who desire to consult it."
Modern and vault-like, this spacious library belongs to the Humboldt University of Berlin and houses around 2.5 million books. It was build in 2009, with a glass ceiling that floods its study spaces with natural light.
The Stadtbibliothek is the public library of the city of Stuttgart. It is organized as a department of the city's cultural office and comprises the central library, 17 city district libraries, and two bookmobiles. In 2013, it received the national award as Library of the Year.
