Kopi Es Tak Kie is one of the oldest and most legendary coffee shops in Jakarta. This coffee shop was founded in 1927. Tak Kie's name comes from the word "Tak" which means a person who is wise, simple, and not mischievous. While the word "Kie" means easy for people to remember. Even though it's located in a narrow alley, this coffee shop, which was founded in 1927, is highly sought after by people from all walks of life.

History of Kopi Es Tak Kie

Initially, Kopi Es Tak Kie was just a street vendor located in the Petak Sembilan Glodok area in 1927. After collecting enough money, Liong Kwie Tjong decided to move to a building with Dutch architecture where the Kopi Es Tak Kie now stands on Pintu Besar South III Street No 4.

Now, the Kopi Es Tak Kie is managed by the third generation, namely Latif Yulus or who is often called "Ayauw".

Menu and Opening Hours

For the food menu, here there is a heavy food menu such as chicken noodles and kway teow As for the bread menu, there are toast, meat buns, banana walnuts, and other menus.

For the drink menu, namely coffee, there are two choices, namely black coffee and milk coffee. There is no need to doubt the taste of coffee because it has used old-fashioned concoctions.
