History of Kaliadem Bunker
Kaliadem Bunker was built by the Sleman Regency Government in the early 2000s as a shelter from the dangers of hot clouds (wedhus gembel) when Mount Merapi erupted. However, in the major eruption in 2006, two people trapped in the bunker died due to the very high temperature, reaching more than 200 degrees Celsius.
