The main attraction of Kaibon Palace is its unique architecture of Javanese, Chinese, and European building styles. The paduraksa door with Javanese-Balinese decorations, Chinese ornaments, and several European touches give this palace a unique architecture that is rarely found.

Kaibon Palace was built in 1815 as a residence for Queen Aisyah, the mother of Sultan Syafudin. The name "Kaibon" itself means a motherly nature full of love and gentleness, following the figure of Queen Aisyah who was full of love for her child.

Kaibon Palace was built on an area of 4 hectares and was once surrounded by a water channel that made it look like it was floating. Although this channel is now not functioning, the water structure can still be found, adding to the charm of the palace as a historical site.
