Standing at an astonishing height of 115.55 meters (379.1 feet), the giant redwood tree named Hyperion in Redwood National Park, California, is as tall as a 35-story building.

Hyperion is estimated to be between 700 and 800 years old and contains about 530 cubic meters (18,600 cubic feet) of wood.
