The name Citambur is taken from the sound of falling water which sounds like a "tambur," a traditional percussion instrument, so it is called Curug Citambur.

Location and Route to Curug Citambur

Curug Citambur is located in Karangjaya Village, Pasirkuda District, Cianjur Regency. The location is in the highlands, about 3-4 hours drive from the center of Cianjur City.

The best route is via the Cianjur - Sukanagara - Pasirkuda route. Although the road to the location is quite challenging, the natural scenery that is passed will make the trip feel more enjoyable. It is recommended to use a private vehicle in prime condition to get to this waterfall.

Opening Hours and Entrance Ticket Prices

Curug Citambur is open every day from 07.30 to 16.30 WIB. The entrance ticket to enjoy the beauty of this waterfall is quite affordable, which is 10.000 IDR per person, plus a parking fee for vehicles of 3.000 IDR for motorbikes and 5.000 IDR for cars.

130-Meter-High Waterfall

Curug Citambur is one of the highest waterfalls in West Java, with a height of 130 meters.
