Attractions of Tempoa Art Gallery Jambi
Tempoa Art Gallery was previously a VIP-class cinema which was built around 1990. Then, in 2017 this building was converted into a museum that displays various historical objects from Jambi City cinemas in the 1970-1990 period.
In it, visitors can witness the development of the world of Indonesian cinema. This is shown through billboards and old-school film posters that are still preserved today. The shape is different from today's film posters, with a larger size and banner-like material.
Not only that but there are also chairs that were previously used by cinema-goers. In one of the rooms, there is an old German-made film projector machine.
To attract visitors, this cinema museum still maintains its original form, with only minor renovations to make it cleaner and more comfortable. Apart from being a historical tourist attraction, the Tempoa Art Gallery is often a space for writing training, exhibitions, cultural discussions, and poetry readings.
So, don't claim to be a film and culture lover if you've never been to Tempoa Art Gallery!
