The Shwedagon Pagoda, also known as the Great Dagon Pagoda and the Golden Pagoda, is a gilded stupa located in Yangon, Myanmar.

The Pagoda is the holiest Buddhist site in Myanmar and is considered by many to be one of the wonders of the world.

The Shwedagon Pagoda was built in the 6th century AD, making it more than 2,500 years old.

It is said to contain relics of four previous Buddhas: the hair of Gautama Buddha, Kakusandha Buddha's staff, Konagamana Buddha's water filter, and a piece of Kassapa Buddha's robe.

The pagoda is lined with gold leaves and decorated with diamonds, rubies, sapphires, and other precious stones.

Shwedagon Pagoda is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Myanmar. Open daily from 04:00 to 22:00 and the admission is free.
