LIFT Bali is a treetop hotel designed by Alexis Dornier which is located on the outskirts of Ubud, Bali, Indonesia. Alexis Dornier is an architect from Germany who has lived and settled in Bali for several years. In contrast to building hotels in general, this treetop hotel is located in the middle of a forest that blends with nature. Each room is a cabin located at the top or treetops.
To enter the room, guests must climb the stairs that will lead them to the top of the cabin. Each room is equipped with a king size bed, Wi-Fi and a bathroom equipped with a shower. LIFT has three unique cabins: Ernest Hemingway House, George Orwell House and Stanley Kubrik House.
Ernest Hemingway House
Ernest Hemingway House is a traditional Javanese house, known as Omah Jawa. In the highly hierarchical Javanese culture, the roof typology of the house reflects the social and economic status of the homeowner. This unique house is 12 meters off the ground, beautifully decorated with rugs and furniture made of recycled rattan and wood.
George Orwell House
George Orwell House is a building designed for adventurers. This building has 2 floors where downstairs is a bathroom and upstairs is a bedroom equipped with a balcony. This building has a traditional roof made of reeds to add coolness and tranquility.
Stanley Kubrik House
Stanley Kubrik House has a building shaped like a cube. Inside is a luxurious interior with a natural design and a thatched roof. You can enjoy the forest view right from your bed.
