Ghibli Museum in Mitaka, Japan, is temporarily closed, but through some videos posted on YouTube, you can enjoy the atmosphere of the museum from home.
The videos available on YouTube are short clips that give a brief overview of some parts of the museum. It is hoped that by watching a video about the contents of this museum, visitors will be more enthusiastic to visit this museum after it reopens.
In one of the videos, we are led into a room where on the ceiling there is a painting of a bright yellow sun, a blue sky and a large tree surrounded by several characters from popular Studio Ghibli movies, including Kiki (from Kiki's Delivery Service movie), Nausicaa (from Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind movie) and Catbus (from My Neighbor Totoro movie).
In another video, we get a glimpse of the museum's atmosphere at night.
The museum was opened in October 2011 and was designed by Studio Ghibli director Hayao Miyazaki himself. Entrance tickets to the Ghibli Museum are usually sold out well in advance.
