Disneyland Shanghai will reopen on May 11, 2020
After being closed for 4 months from January 25, 2020 due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Disneyland Shanghai will reopen on May 11, 2020.
Tickets sold online via Disneyland Shanghai's website sold out within minutes of reopening on Friday at 8AM local time.
The park management implements strict safety measures including: maintaining distance in queues, restaurants and playgrounds throughout the park, increasing the frequency of sanitation maintenance, and spraying disinfectants. Before entering the park, guests must also go through a temperature check and will be asked to wear a mask or face covering while in the park.
In the early days of opening, the number of visitors was limited to only a third of the normal capacity of 80,000. Ticket prices for the reopening phase start at ¥399 on weekdays and ¥499 on weekends.
Meanwhile Disney resorts in other places such as the United States, Hong Kong and Paris are still closed, awaiting instructions from local authorities to reopen.
