It was conveyed directly by the Chinese Ministry of Health that there was a reduction in the quarantine period for tourists, which initially had to be 10 days of quarantine. Now it has been reduced to only 8 days. Of these, the first five days will be in an isolation center provided by the government, while the last three days will be independent isolation at home. In addition, tourists who wish to come to China only need to submit a negative result from one COVID-19 test taken within 48 hours of travel.

Regarding flights, China eliminated the 'circuit breaker mechanism, meaning flights would be immediately closed if some passengers tested positive for COVID-19. The notice also states that secondary close contacts of infected persons will no longer be traced and isolated.

As for tracking COVID-19 domestically, several places in China will be identified as 'high risk' or 'low risk.' This is guided by a higher number of restrictions, and the latter has a minimum limit. Those from high-risk to low-risk areas must undergo a week of home isolation.
