History
On October 3, 1976, a Buddhist Council called the Indonesian Buddhist Dhamma Pandita Council (MAPANBUDHI) was established in Bandung. A few years later, the name was changed to the Indonesian Theravada Buddhist Council (MAGABUDHI).
Theravada Buddhists in Bandung then did not have a temple, so every meeting and worship service always moved. Finally, on February 23, 1992, the groundbreaking ceremony for constructing the Vipassana Graha was held.
Attractiveness
Vipassana Graha Vihara, at first glance, is almost similar to the temples in Thailand because of the architectural style and ornaments in this monastery.
The main attraction of Vipassana Graha Vihara is that there are 2 white elephant statues carrying the Wheel of Dhamma.
The next interesting spot is the Arahants around the Maha Panca Bala Temple corner.
Entrance Ticket and Opening Hours
Entrance to the Vipassana Graha Vihara is currently free. Every visitor who comes to the monastery must maintain calm and cleanliness by not littering in the area of the temple building.
Vihara Vipassana Graha is open daily for tourists, starting at 06.00-18.00. So many reviews about Vipassana Graha Vihara. Hopefully, it can inspire your religious tourism destination!
