The Rengganis Suspension Bridge was built in the early 20th century by the Dutch colonial government to connect Ciwidey with Bandung.

It was originally a wooden bridge but was later rebuilt using steel cables and concrete.

The bridge is now a major tourist attraction and is popular with local residents and visitors to Ciwidey.
