Vasa Hotel is a five-star local brand hotel in Surabaya. During his visit to Surabaya, President Jokowi often stays at this hotel which is located at Jalan HR Muhammad.

Presidential Suite at Vasa Hotel Surabaya

In a video on YouTube, vlogger Rico Huang had the opportunity to directly interview one of the owners of Vasa Hotel, Mr. Tung Desem Waringin. Pak Tung said that President Jokowi had often stayed at this hotel and when he was offered the Presidential Suite, he always refused on the grounds that the room was too big.

President Jokowi prefers a simple room type, which is 11-22. President Jokowi's favorite room looks like a hotel room in general and there are no luxurious facilities in the room.

The room consists of a guest bathroom, an en suite bathroom and a living room which is joined to the TV room. In the main bedroom there is a double bed that directly faces the view of Surabaya.
