The source of this waterfall comes from Lake Segara Anak, which is located in the middle of the former eruption of Mount Rinjani and Mount Samalas. The large and fast water discharge adds to the natural beauty of this waterfall, making it a favorite destination for climbers.

Location and Route to Penimbungan Waterfall

Penimbungan Waterfall is located in Torean Village, Bayan District, North Lombok Regency. This waterfall can be accessed via the Mount Rinjani hiking trail starting from Torean Hamlet.

The climb to this waterfall takes about 4-5 hours on foot from the Torean entrance. Along the way, climbers will be treated to extraordinary natural scenery, with steep cliffs and lush green vegetation.

Opening Hours and Ticket Prices

  • Opening Hours: Penimbungan Waterfall can be visited all year round, depending on weather conditions and the status of the Rinjani hiking trail.

  • Ticket Prices: Tickets are included in the cost of climbing Mount Rinjani. For local climbers, the fee ranges from 5.000 IDR to 7.500 IDR per person. Meanwhile, foreign tourists are charged around 150.000 IDR to 225.000 IDR per person.
