ITB Bosscha Observatory: Ticket Prices, Schedule, and Location

After being on hiatus due to the pandemic, ITB Bosscha Observatory is now open again with evening visits! This is the first modern astronomical observatory in Southeast Asia.

Currently, evening visits are open to the public again. This allows visitors to observe celestial objects with a telescope with the astronomer staff there.

ITB Bosscha Observatory is located at Jalan Peneropongan Bintang No. 45, Lembang, West Bandung. This stargazing spot has been opened since 1923 and has just reopened after a 4-year hiatus due to the pandemic.

To visit ITB Bosscha Observatory, the ticket price you have to pay is 50.000 IDR per person. Special for toddlers, there is no additional charge.

The registration process is easy, namely via ITB Bosscha Observatory website. After selecting the desired session, you will receive a confirmation email containing e-ticket details.

Please note that registration for visits is only open every Monday-Thursday from 09.00-15.00 WIB. On national holidays and collective leave, ITB Bosscha Observatory does not accept any registration for visits.

ITB Bosscha Observatory schedule is divided into three categories, namely school visits, day visits, and evening visits. Each session will be accompanied by a guide who will explain ITB Bosscha Observatory.
