Neom, reportedly built on renewable energy, will span an area 33 times larger than New York City, with a budget of USD $500 billion. Among its various districts, Trojena will feature a unique ski resort that operates throughout the year, despite being located in the middle of a desert.

Neom's entire cityscape resembles a sci-fi movie, with its unique vertical design only previously seen in films and TV series.

In line with this futuristic vision, the Saudi Arabian government will create a three-kilometer artificial lake and a folded vertical village called The Vault in Trojena. Tucked away in one of the mountain valleys, the village will have its own microclimate, verdant foliage, water features, and innovative architecture.

At an elevation of 2,400 meters, this ski village will be the first of its kind in Saudi Arabia and possibly the world. The plan is to have multiple ski runs accessible to both professionals and amateurs alike. Moreover, skiing enthusiasts can indulge in this outdoor activity year-round as Trojena will utilize a range of surfaces.

Expected to finish by 2026, Trojena has been eagerly awaited by ski enthusiasts worldwide. Would skiing in Trojena feature on your next vacation bucket list?
