Did you know Maratua Island, one of the outermost islands in Indonesia, is located in Berau, East Kalimantan, right on the border with Malaysia? This island has a beautiful panoramic beauty, famous for its marine biodiversity and coral reefs. Maratua Island is one of the islands that has become an international tourist spot in the Derawan islands.

Route to Maratua

The route to this island is relatively easy. To go by sea, you must depart by air with the destination Kalimarau Airport, Tanjung Redeb, Berau. Then continue the journey using a Speedboat for 1 hour to arrive at the destination.

Meanwhile, by air, flights are using Cessna-type aircraft from Samarinda. It is also reported that there will be direct flights to Maratua from Samarinda by commercial flights.

The price of a flight ticket from Jakarta to Berau is around Rp. 2.7 million per person. Speedboat rental from Tanjung Redeb is around 1.3 million rupiahs per cruise.
