Location and Route to Kete Kesu

Kete Kesu is located in Bonoran Village, Tikunna Malenong Village, Sanggalangi District, North Toraja Regency. This location is about 5 kilometers from Rantepao City, so it is accessible by private vehicles or public transportation.

Visitors can enjoy typical Toraja scenery during the trip to this village. The road is paved and comfortable to pass, making your trip more enjoyable.

Opening Hours and Ticket Prices

Kete Kesu Village is open 24 hours so tourists can come anytime. The entrance ticket price is 15.000 IDR for domestic tourists and 30.000 IDR for foreign tourists. This ticket includes access to the Tongkonan area, stone graves, and cultural museum.

One of the main attractions of Kete Kesu is the magnificent, hundreds-year-old Tongkonan traditional house. This building is decorated with traditional carvings full of meaning, reflecting the richness of Toraja culture.

In addition, visitors can witness the Rambu Solo traditional ceremony, a death ceremony full of unique processions and philosophical values. This village is also famous for its ancient burial site of hanging stone graves decorated with tau-tau, and wooden statues depicting the figure of the deceased.
