History
De Tjolomadoe is a sugar-producing factory built by Mangkunegara IV in 1861 in cooperation with the Dutch. In 1950, the Colomadu Sugar Factory was taken over by the Government of Indonesia after the Dutch had held it. Unfortunately, in 1998 this factory stopped production due to the monetary crisis in Indonesia.
Now De Tjolomadoe has turned into a historical tourist spot and is also used by the public as a photo destination because of the beauty of the factory building that is still maintained today.
