Gili Sulat is a hidden natural tourist destination in Sambelia Village, Sambelia District, East Lombok Regency. This island is a paradise for nature lovers with dense mangrove forests, well-maintained coral reefs, and a rich marine ecosystem, ideal for ecotourism in East Lombok.

Location and Route to Gili Sulat

Gili Sulat is located in Sambelia Village, Sambelia District, East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. Tourists can start their journey from Mataram City to Labuhan Lombok Harbor around 2 hours using private vehicles.

From the harbor, the journey continues by boat to Gili Sulat for around 30 minutes. Visitors can choose an alternative route through Sambelia Village which provides a small pier with safe parking. From this pier, tourists can rent a local boat to cross and enjoy the beautiful sea views along the way.

Attractions of Gili Sulat

The main attraction of Gili Sulat is the dense and vast mangrove forest, covering around 400 hectares that maintains the sustainability of the island's ecosystem. The mangrove forest in Gili Sulat, similar to the ecosystem in Gili Petagan, has a path that allows visitors to explore the mangrove area and understand its important role in maintaining the balance of the marine ecosystem.
