Approaching the first stage of Ghibli Park opening on November 1, 2022, you can buy admission tickets from 10 August 2022. In this first phase, 3 areas will be opened to the public. What and how much does each ticket cost? Here's the information.
Ghibli Park is located within Aichi Commemorative Park, Nagakute City, Aichi, Japan. The park will reproduce several sets and animated Studio Ghibli characters into the real world, including the elevator from Howl's Moving Castle, Dondoko Forest from My Neighbor Totoro, and the Spirited Away-inspired Grand Warehouse.
Ghibli Park will open in stages, namely stage one on November 1, 2022, and stage two in autumn 2023. 3 areas can be visited after the opening of stage 1, namely:
Ghibli's Grand Warehouse
The Large Warehouse area, inspired by the film Spirited Away, serves as a venue for events and exhibitions. This place also has a children's playground area.
This area will display a number of memorabilia, a replica of the items you see in a number of Studio Ghibli films.
Youth Hill
You can find the Youth Hill area directly at the entrance to Ghibli Park, where you can take the elevator here to see the panoramic view of the Ghibli Park area from a height.
This observation tower on Youth Hill is inspired by the steampunk design in Howl's Moving Castle. In addition, there is also an antique shop inspired by the movie Whisper of the Heart.
Dondoko Forest
You can also visit the Dondoko Forest area, which contains a replica of Satsuki and Mei's house from the movie My Neighbor Totoro. This area is in the middle of a forest with shady trees, just like the film.
The replica of Satsuki's house is very similar to the original, from the pile of books in the living room, the bathroom design, to the calendar on display.
