Garuda Indonesia, supported by Pigeon Express Cargo, launched the Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft with the latest livery mask design in the Batik Parang pattern at Hangar 2 GMF AeroAsia, Tuesday, October 20, 2020.

This design is the work of Helena Calista with the concept of "Fly High and Stay Protected" which was the winner of the #FlyYourDesignWithGA competition. Helena received a prize of 2 Economy Class tickets for domestic routes from the President Director of Garuda Indonesia. Helena Calista dedicates this gift to her teacher.

The design also incorporate "Ayo Pakai Masker" slogan, mask-wearing campaign in Indonesia.

Helena chose batik as her inspiration to preserve Indonesian culture. Parang batik has the meaning of never giving up and not easily broken, just like Garuda Indonesia, which will continue to fly high even during a pandemic.
