President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) arrived in Osaka, Japan, aboard the Indonesia-1 Presidential Aircraft at Kansai International Airport (KIX) Osaka, Japan, Friday, 28 June 2019. Jokowi was accompanied by First Lady Iriana. Jokowi is ready to attend the G20 Summit with world leaders. While in Osaka, President Jokowi stayed at the New Otani Osaka Hotel.

From the airport, Jokowi went straight to the hotel where he was staying, namely The New Otani Osaka. Upon arrival at the New Otani hotel, Osaka, President Jokowi and Mrs. Iriana were greeted with children who gave bouquets of flowers and General Manager of Hotel New Otani Masatoshi Hosoyama. Furthermore, Jokowi was also welcomed by the Indonesian Consul General Osaka Mirza Nurhidayat and his wife Rosita Rochmaya.

The G20 event will be held at the G20 Summit arena at INTEX Osaka. Some of Jokowi's important activities include Official Welcome and Family Photo, Leaders' Side Event on Digital Economy. The topics of the G20 Summit that will be discussed this time include the theme 'Global Economy and Trade and Investment, and Innovation on Digital Economy.

Jokowi is scheduled to have a number of bilateral meetings, including with South Korean President Moon Jae-in, Chinese President Xi Jin Ping and South African President Cyril Ramaphosa.

A number of leaders of the previous G20 countries had already arrived in Osaka, including US President Donald Trump and German President Angela Merkel.
