Disney fans, rejoice! It appears that Disney is committed to expanding its presence in Southeast Asia. Following the successful launch of Disney100 Village at Asiatique in Bangkok, they have recently declared Singapore as the home port for the Disney Cruise Line starting from 2025. This marks the first time the cruise line will have a home port in Southeast Asia.

CNA reports that the upcoming vessel will be the largest in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, with a displacement of 208,000 tonnes and a capacity to accommodate 6,000 guests and 2,300 crew members. In a statement on the Disney Parks Blog, Josh D'Amaro, the Experience and Product Lead, expressed that the new location is part of Disney Cruise Line's global expansion plan to introduce cruises to new destinations worldwide.

D'Amaro conveyed his excitement by stating, "We are thrilled to announce Singapore as the primary port of call for the launch of our seventh ship, which will operate from here year-round starting in 2025."

Disney has partnered with the Singapore Tourism Board this time to make Singapore its home port for a minimum of five years, commencing in 2025.

Although no specific details have been disclosed regarding the onboard experiences, guests can expect to encounter beloved characters such as Mickey, Minnie, Disney princesses, and Marvel heroes. Other Disney Cruise Line ships offer water parks, live entertainment, and unique dining experiences featuring appearances by Disney characters. Information on ticket sales, pricing, and itinerary is yet to be revealed, so keep an eye out for further updates in the upcoming months.
