History

This mosque was built on the orders of Nasir al-Mulk, a Qajar ruler. It was designed by Mohammad Hassan Memar e-Shirazi, who also designed the nearby Vakil Mosque. The Nasir-ol-molk Mosque was built between 1876 and 1888.

The exterior of the mosque is relatively simple, with two minarets and a blue tiled dome. However, it is precisely the interior of the mosque that is truly stunning. The prayer hall is decorated with intricate mosaics and stained glass windows. Windows are very special, because they are designed to allow natural light into the room, creating a beautiful effect.
