In the midst of the panic of the corona virus outbreak, Citilink airline innovated to serve Wedang Jahe for airplane passengers. Wedang Jahe is a drink made from boiled ginger. This drink is intensively sought after the outbreak of the corona virus, because it was believed to be effective in warding off the corona virus.

On board, flight attendants carry a tray of paper cups filled with Wedang Jahe and offer the drinks to the passengers. The Wedang Jahe that was distributed was still warm, spicy in taste and efficacious to relieve the throat and strengthen the immune system.

Many passengers welcomed Citilink's innovation. Some passengers enjoyed the drink and even asked the flight attendants for more.

The presentation of herbal drinks on Citilink flights will take place from early March to early April. Apart from Wedang Jahe, Citilink will also experiment with other herbal drinks, including Kunyit Asam (made from turmeric tamarind), temulawak, and cinnamon.
