Location and Access to Brienz Rothorn Railway

This steam train starts from Brienz Station, located in the town of Brienz on the shores of Lake Brienz, Switzerland. The route goes to the Rothorn Kulm summit station, with a length of 7.6 kilometers, and takes about 1 hour to reach the summit.

Schedules and Ticket Prices

The Brienz Rothorn steam train operates daily during the summer, from late May to October. The round-trip ticket price is CHF 125.50 for adults and CHF 28.50 for children, equivalent to around 2.100.000 IDR and 470.000 IDR. Swiss Travel Pass and Swiss Half-Fare Cardholders get a 50% discount.
