President Joko Widodo and First Lady Iriana were present as guests of honor in the celebration of Singapore's Anniversary or known as the National Day Parade 2019 on Friday, 9 August 2019 at the National Gallery of Singapore.
During this visit, President Jokowi, who was accompanied by First Lady Iriana, rested at the Ritz Carlton Millenia Hotel which is located in the Marina Bay area.

Jokowi complied with the invitation of Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong to attend the 54th anniversary of independence as well as to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the British arrival in Singapore. Apart from Jokowi, Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad and his wife and the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam Hassanal Bolkiah were also present, who was also accompanied by his wife. The three leaders had a friendly chat before heading to the podium at the National Gallery of Singapore.
