In the heart of the Marunouchi business district, Apple opened its newest and largest store in Japan near the Imperial Palace and opposite the historic Tokyo Station. Apple Marunouchi is Apple's third store to open in Japan since last April as part of its expansion in the country.
"The opening of Apple's Marunouchi marks an important moment in Apple's long relationship with Japan," said Deirdre O'Brien, Apple's senior vice president for Retail + People. "Marunouchi has incredible energy and our team can't wait to welcome customers to our largest store in Japan for the first time on Saturday."
This Apple Store features a unique facade, with two-story vitrine windows made of specially cast aluminum to achieve three-dimensional rounded corners that allow street life to blend into the store. On each side of the window is also decorated by beautiful and tall bamboo plants.
