The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) also supports the decision of Singapore GP Pte Ltd and Formula 1 to cancel the Formula 1 Grand Prix to protect the health and safety of participants, fans and all Singaporeans.

Singapore GP will refund ticket buyers within 30 working days. In addition, ticket buyers also have the option to keep their tickets for next year's race.

Since 2008, the F1 race has been profitable for Singapore, particularly for its tourism sector. The Singapore Grand Prix was the first and only night F1 race in the last 12 years.
